§ 62.1. Authorization.

 In accordance with section 13 of the act of July 22, 1975 (P. L. 75, No. 45) (71 P. S. §  638(5)(ii)), the Secretary of General Services has established a Committee on Construction Contract Documents.

§ 62.2. Terms of office.

 (a)  The Committee on Construction Contract Documents will consist of five members selected from associations representing contractors doing business with the Department of General Services who shall serve without compensation.

 (b)  Of the original members, three shall serve for terms of 2 years and two for terms of 1 year; thereafter, all terms shall be for 2 years.

§ 62.3. Meetings.

 (a)  An annual meeting shall be held on the first Tuesday in June.

 (b)  Other meetings may be requested in writing by the Department of General Services or three members of the committee.

 (c)  Meetings will be chaired by the Secretary of General Services or his designee.

 (d)  All meetings shall be held in the offices of the Department of General Services in Harrisburg.

§ 62.4. Purpose.

 The purpose of the Committee on Construction Contract Documents is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Department of General Services. The committee will be convened to provide an orderly format for discussion of items of mutual interest, such as rules, regulations, and contract documents, which pertain to the contractors doing business with the Commonwealth.
