§ 7.261. Establishment.
(a) The Golden Keystone Discount Card Program is hereby established.
(b) The Department of Aging shall have full responsibility for planning, administering and managing the program.
§ 7.262. Functions.
The Golden Keystone discount card program will have as its primary functions the following:
(1) To help alleviate the impact of inflation on the fixed income existence of older Pennsylvanians.
(2) To provide tangible economic benefits for Pennsylvanians over age 65.
(3) To provide a uniform system with Statewide recognition which will facilitate the delivery of these benefits to senior citizens.
§ 7.263. Cooperation by State agencies.
Agencies under the jurisdiction of the governor shall cooperate fully with the development and implementation of the Golden Keystone program and shall provide assistance and information needed by the Department of Aging to carry out its functions in an effective manner.
§ 7.264. Advisory Committee.
A Golden Keystone Advisory Committee appointed by the Department of Aging will be established to assist in the development and implementation of the program and to make appropriate recommendations to the Secretary of Aging.
§ 7.265. Procedures.
Management Directives to implement this subchapter will be issued by the Department of Aging.
