§ 7.411. Delegation.
The Department of Environmental Protection is designated as the agency of State government responsible for the development and submission to the Federal Department of Energy and the sited states of a low-level radioactive waste disposal facility siting plan for Pennsylvania and the member states of the Appalachian States Low-Level Radioactive Waste Compact.
§ 7.412. Duties.
The Department shall submit a siting plan to the Governor in a timely manner in order that it may be approved for submission to the Department of Energy and the sited states on or before January 1, 1988. The plan shall deal, at a minimum, with matters necessary to comply with the Federal act and applicable guidelines.
§ 7.413. Implementation of plan.
The Department of Environmental Protection shall take steps necessary and proper to implement the plan until the Commonwealth provides the comprehensive basis necessary for its full execution in conformity with Pennsylvanias commitments to the Compact.
