§ 1005.6. Out-of-State providers.

 Ambulance services located or headquartered outside of this Commonwealth that engage in the business of providing emergency medical care and transporta-tion of patients from within this Commonwealth, to facilities within or outside this Commonwealth, are required to be inspected and licensed by the Department. Ambulance services located or headquartered outside of this Commonwealth that limit their operations in this Commonwealth to the transportation of patients from outside this Commonwealth to facilities within this Commonwealth are not required to be licensed and inspected by the Department provided they do not engage in these patient transports on a routine basis.
