§ 5200.48. Waiver of standards.

 In instances where the development of specialty psychiatric clinic services is severely limited by these standards, such as, rural clinics, or specialty clinics, a waiver may be granted for staffing standards for a period of 6 months and may be renewed up to 3 times. Such waivers may be applied only in areas where the need for such services and the attempts to meet the standards are adequately documented. Such waivers are to be considered only in exceptional circumstances and are subject to approval by the office of Mental Health.
