§ 21.11-1113. Penalties.

Willful violation of any of the provisions of § §   21.11-1109—21.11-1112 shall constitute a summary offense punishable upon conviction by a maximum fine of Five Hundred Dollars. Conviction thereunder, when final, or a plea of nolo contendere or guilty to such violation, shall subject such person to surcharge to the extent of the damage shown to be thereby sustained by the Township, and shall result in forfeiture of office.

Commentary: : Violation of §  21.11-1113 is ‘‘malfeasance in office’’ as provided in §  21.3-308A5b. Conviction is ‘‘final’’ when all direct appeals have been exhausted or time therefore has expired.
